On January 10, 2024, Ms. Amali Weerakoon, Honorary President of the ITUM Staff Welfare Society, alongside the current Executive Committee, organized a heartfelt tribute to the former Executive Committee members, including Mr. Shiran Maduranga, the past Honorary President. The event, held within the Division of Polymer and Chemical Engineering Technology, served as an expression of gratitude for their unwavering dedication to the well-being and development of ITUM staff. Distinguished attendees included Major General (Retired) S. K. Thirunavukarasu, Director of ITUM, the society’s main advisor, and Mr.Naleen Kuruppuarachchi, Deputy Registrar, serving as sub-advisor. In his address, the Director lauded the former committee's achievements and congratulated the new team, emphasizing that true success lies in uniting efforts toward a common goal.
